Community privacy

Account and contributions

When you choose Google sign-in, Google supplies a stable account identifier, an email address and verification information. We store those fields, your chosen nickname, account dates and the terms version you accepted. We do not store your Google password, access your Gmail or keep your Google profile photo. Your email is not shown with public posts.

We store your posts, moderation status, reports and decisions to operate the community, prevent abuse and respond to requests. A published post and nickname are public and may be indexed by search engines after review. Pending posts and reports are available only to the relevant member and/or moderators.

Purposes and legal bases

Account/session and contribution processing is necessary to provide the community service you request. Proportionate security, abuse prevention and moderation serve legitimate operational interests; handling binding requests may be required by law. Optional advertising/storage requires the applicable consent and regional choices. The operator must apply the legal bases and safeguards required in the relevant jurisdiction; accepting the terms is not blanket consent to unrelated processing.

Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare provides hosting, D1 storage and Turnstile verification. Google provides the sign-in service and, only when advertising is enabled, advertising and the configured consent service. These providers can process technical information such as IP addresses and device/network details internationally. Cookies and browser storage

A host-only, HttpOnly session cookie identifies your community session for up to seven days. A separate short-lived login cookie expires after five minutes. These are used for sign-in/security. Google and Turnstile process the information necessary for their respective services when you use them. We do not enable Google Analytics on the community. A host-only session cookie is not shared with the main EVVerity site.

Retention

Account information is retained while the account is active. Session and login records expire and are removed in bounded daily cleanup batches. Resolved reports and moderation records are normally removed after 90 days, except where a legal preservation requirement applies. Application allowance counters are retained up to approximately 120 days. Cleanup can take longer when processing is paused or a backlog exists.

Live account deletion removes login/account fields and the text of the member’s contributions. Provider recovery backups may retain earlier records temporarily under the configured recovery period. Copies already held by search engines or other users are outside our direct control; contact us for help with a specific concern.

Advertising

Advertising is off by default and is permitted only on specifically reviewed discussions. When enabled, the configured Google consent message controls applicable choices; ad requests wait for the required consent signal. We do not use automated community activity to generate advertising impressions or clicks. Login, writing, account and moderation pages do not serve ads.

Your choices and requests

My account includes data export and account deletion. Depending on the applicable law, you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to info@evverity.com for assistance or a correction. We may require proportionate evidence that an account or request belongs to you; do not email identity documents unless specifically necessary and arranged securely.
