An arrival reserve is a planning choice that leaves room for uncertainty and a fallback. It should reflect the route, conditions and access to compatible charging rather than a number copied from another journey.

Calculate the energy available between the starting charge and reserve, then test a less favourable consumption assumption. Check whether an alternative station remains reachable if the planned stop fails.

Keep the chosen reserve visible in the calculation. Do not count it as ordinary driving energy and then describe the resulting distance as a comfortable plan.
