How much winter range reserve would you plan for your commute?

Plan the commute with more than one consumption assumption. Heating, temperature, speed and the route can change energy use, so a summer dashboard range is not a winter guarantee.

Start with the energy available between your departure charge and your chosen reserve. Compare it with the return journey, including any realistic detour to charge. If the less favourable case does not fit, change the plan while charging alternatives are still available.
